Osteoarthritis of the knee and other joints
We know that remedial massage relieves symptoms of osteoarthritis. From our personal experience but also from that reported by our clients....If you like clinical data, here is some: benefits from weekly remedial massage, according to a study of 222 osteoarthritis of knee sufferers, of which 200 participated in an 8 week study, and 175 participated in the 52 week study. Benefits were found to be increasing with bi-weekly massage for a period of 8 weeks. With regular long term massage, the benefits realised from the initial 8 weeks treatment are maintained. Significant benefits found in the study, including increased mobility, significant decreases in pain and stiffness.
